Ren recently launched the new Instant Firming Beauty Shot*, a serum aimed at firming, lifting and tightening the skin in just a few seconds. Now I do love Ren as a brand they are an all natural brand, no mineral oils, no parabens and everything I have tried so far I have loved so I knew this would have a lot to live up to.

The product itself is rather strange, its a rose scented serum that FYI smells incredible. I love when brands add that rose scent...its makes me very happy haha. Anyway completely off track, its a serum that you apply to the skin and it instantly tightens the skin, I am talking you can feel it tightening the skin. Its like a magic cream. As I am 24 I don't have any wrinkles as of yet. It pulls the skin tight and closes up my pores..I know it sounds too good to be true but that is literally what it does.

Now the application is a little strange, you apply it and its rather weird to apply, its not like most serums because it dries very fast so I have found doing it in quick stages is best. Once on it feels very sticky and tacky for about 5-10 seconds then it leaves the skin feeling super soft and almost creates a base of good looking skin. Ren have said this is meant to have long term effects as well as instant effects, saying that the skin only stays tight for around 5-6 hours, in you head are you picturing you face ending up all droopy as it wears off....no! that totally just popped into my head. It does say you can gently apply over your make-up if your wearing any to refresh the look, but I haven't tried that yet.

The serum itself is high in hyaluronic acid, which Ren have said they have made it into a more potent form which therefore hydrates the skin. The product is suitable for sensitive skin the only problem is the scent I personally love it but if you hate that rose scent this could turn you off.

Overall this is a good serum, it does tighten the skin and matches all its claim, long term effects I can't comment on as I have only been using for over 2 weeks but if your looking for a magic serum that gives you that 'youthful' look this is your guy. It is pricey at £48 but if you are willing to splurge go for it.

Tell me what you think of it?
